Your “to go” box is something that you should prepare well in advance of a fire occurring in your area. It should contain things like:

• A list of where important things are in your house.
• Doctors name, and medications that you’re taking.
• Insurance papers.
• Trust Deeds.
• Passport.
• In case of emergency contact names and location.
• Your evacuation route and where you’re going to go.
• Videotape the outside and inside of your house. This is great for insurance purposes if the unfortunate occurs.

You can also put items in your car, such as:

• Medications
• Glasses
• Batteries
• Food and water
• Spare clothes
• Flashlight/torch

Hopefully you’ll never need it, but you’ll be thankful you took the time if you do.
